Danger Scales 3-1 utilize the full range of the instrument for the given key. Since each instrument has different available octaves relating to the key, you will find long tones that serve as a drone while other sections complete their octaves. You will also hear harmonies as certain instrument sections are ascending or descending, depending on their range.
Scales Included – Bb Major, Eb Major, Ab Major, F Major, C Major, Db Major, G minor, C minor, D minor, and Chromatic Scale.

Fingerings – Fingerings are no longer included in this series.
Percussion – Students should begin with mallets; however, adding the snare and bass drum parts will add rhythmic stability while working on fundamental techniques.
Teaching Tips – These scales also provide the basic octaves and rhythmic patterns of the MSBOA (Michigan School Band and Orchestra) Proficiency 1 Scales.
